Looking for a fairy tale winter wedding location? Then look no further. Vista Verde Ranch, located north of Steamboat Springs, is a magical place for a winter wedding. Joanne and Brent tied the knot here in December 2023. I am finally getting around to posting these amazing photos taken by the talented Jenny Smiley and I can't wait to share them with you.

Brent had spent many vacations at Vista Verde with his family and knew that it would be the perfect backdrop for Joanne's dream winter wedding. Equipped with a horse-drawn sleigh, a gorgeous log lodge, fireplaces, log cabins, mountain vistas, and of course ample winter activities including skiing and sledding, Vista Verde has something for everyone. Vista Verde feels like your home away from home; curl up with a book in front of the fireplace, warm up with hot chocolate after a day playing in the snow, and savor delicious home-cooked food. Joanne and Brent created an intimate winter weekend for their guests that included a barn dance, game night, campfires with s'mores and hot drinks, lots of outdoor snow time, and an elegant, yet fun-filled wedding day.

Joanne and Brent's wedding attire included a bespoke suit and hat for Brent and a gorgeous embroidered dress for Joanne. Wow, that dress! I am still in love with it! A gorgeous blue sky day graced Joanne and Brent's wedding day (although it was a little chilly!) and Jenny captured beautiful photos throughout the property before an evening ceremony inside the lodge in front of the fireplace. Dinner and dancing followed with hot drinks outside by the campfire to end the night. A magical winter wedding!

A Note from Joanne and Brent:

Alex was our wedding planner and day-of coordinator for a small winter wedding in December 2023. Alex was a joy to work with leading up to our wedding day. She was organized, communicative, and helped us brainstorm non-traditional personal touches. The day of the wedding, she handled all of the details and kept us on schedule with ease.
